I think it's a typo in step 1. It should be sugar instead of milk.

Maybe using 1 tbsp ginger juice will yield a 'harder' texture compared to 1/2 tbsp.

To me, sourdough is always more chewy. It has more texture. Both DH and I love this.

If you love the fluffy soft Asian breads, then most likely you won't like this.

What I know is that they usually use apricot jam. They heat up some apricot jam with a little water so that it's more liquid (like syrup). When it's cooled, brush it over the fruits.
