|
|
For one serving only, lunch or dinner.
Ingredients:
1 clove of garlic(remove skin, smash to break it)
4 tbsp of cooked rice
1 codfish steak(remove all bones)
200 ml soup stock
Method:
1. Heat soup stock in a pot till it boils.
2. When it is boiling, add cooked rice.
3. Add smashed garlic.
4. cover the pot and cook over low heat for 15 mins.
5. you may need to add water as the rice will absorb all the soup.
6. check the water level at 10 mins.
7. When rice becomes watery, turn off the fire.
8. Add cut up bits of cod fish to stir and mix(to cook it).
9. Serve.
notes:
Weaning babies up to the ages of 1 year old does not need salt or any seasonings or flavourings.
You can use other kinds of fish. make sure its fresh. Garlic is used..to kill harmful bacteria.

Hi Gina,
What's the reason for adding cooked rice instead of cooking the rice directly with the stock?
PS: I cook our porridge with chopped garlic too, very fragrant |

speed up time to cook the rice mah..imagine me, years ago, young mother and trying to keep everything together.. so my mom taught me to use leftover rice to cook the porridge. _________________ Gina
