Yuzu Fruit Cake(rec n pic)

Ingredients:
250 g butter (salted)
4 eggs
100g fine sugar
220g Top flour
3 tbsp Yuzu concentrated paste
100g citrus fruit(orange)

Method:
1. Beat butter with sugar till light and creamy. About 10 mins.
2. Add eggs, one at a time to beat till well combined. Add yuzu paste to mix.
3. Add flour and whip in 1 minute.
4. Finally add citrus fruits and whip for 1 minute till well mixed.
5. Pour into baking pan.
6. Bake in preheated oven 180C for 30 mins.
7. Remove to cool completely before slicing.

Yuzu is something like Japanese citrus fruit. In Hong Kong, I think they have it in a jar like a jam.

must ask Florence aka Do What I like, I remember she had a recipe using Yuzu paste too. Since she lives in Hong Kong, she is the next best person to answer your question.

if you come after 2pm, you may look for me. I usually go after 2pm on weekdays. Saturdays, I go after 6pm. Sundays I go at 1pm.

i happened to get the sakura paste from your shop.. can i used it to removed the yu zu? Is it advisable?

the Sakura paste is actually a flower extract. Personally, I find it too 'aromatic' to have it in a cake. Like eating a scented flower.

But it goes great with fresh cream frosting or fondant flavours.

Of course, you can use it for a cake recipe.
