This was created on the spot. Just to show the students who came for the Chiffon Cake 101 that its so easy to mix and match any ingredient you like to create a whole new flavour of chiffon cake.

I took 2 tea bags from our studio(KC baking Studio at Kallang Bahru) which my niece gave me. Its from TWG's Alfonso Tea.

You can use any type of tea bags(straight out from the tea bag). You don't have to infuse the tea to get the flavours.

Ingredients A
6 egg yolks(medium eggs)
120g Cake Flour
100ml milk(UHT)
tea leaves from 2 tea bags

Ingredients B
6 egg whites(room temperature)
100g fine sugar

Method:
1. Mix egg yolks, milk and tea leaves to mix. Add flour to stir in.
2. Batter should look creamy.
3. Whip egg whites till foamy, then add sugar to whip till it peaks.
4. Stop the mixer and add Egg yolk batter and fold in till evenly mixed.
5. Pour into tube pan and baked in preheated oven 170C for 40 to 45 mins,
6. Remove from oven, invert and leave it to cool completely before removing the cake from the pan.
7. Slice only when cooled.

This goes great with coffee or tea or just juice.

Do we have to use a chiffon take tin to make chiffon cake? Can I use my normal cake tins?
