|My friend that works at one of the japanese restaurent in Oregon gave me this recipe... Its abit modified to my taste so adding more/less of the ingredients to taste is good! I never knew that adding peanut butter to salad is good.. but hehe, it really is! Quite easy to make too since alot of these ingredients we already have at home.
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
6 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoons sesame oil
5 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
(optional) Chopped green onions/scallions/spring onions. I find that adding this gives it abit of "kick". Cilantro works too!
Just mix everything together in a bowl with a whisk.
Pour over salads or mix with shredded cabbage/carrots etc for coleslaw.
I also use it to marinate chicken or seafood sometimes and then grill/fry it.
