hubby bought 2kg of King Prawns the other day..ask me to cook it with tomato sauce..I thought its was too plain. So decided to make it this way. It was delicious..!

Ingredients
8 pcs King Prawns
50g Butter
1/2 tsp salt
3 sprigs of Fresh dill

8 skewer sticks

Method
1. Rub salt on prawns.
2. Use a skewer stick to poke thru on the under side of the prawn.
3. Heat up frying pan with butter till melted.
4. Add dill to fry till fragrant
5. Add prawns to fry for 3 mins.
6. Grilled prwans in preheated oven 240C for 5 to 10 mins till its slightly burnt.
7. Pour remaining butter dill over it.
8. Garnish with more fresh dill.

Dear Gina

Nice colour & yummy dish in my mind! Just wondering though , can I skip frying prawns for 3 mins & go straight to grilling the prawns? Don't mean to be rude to you for wanting to alter the method but definitely lazy coz the oil will splatter. Do you think the texture of the prawns will be compromised by not browning first?

Thx again for sharing & will try this out soon.

no lah..not rude. I tell u why I did it this way. becoz I am too lazy to wait for the butter to melt and to marinate it.

this way, the prawns are evenly coated with the sauce. The grilling process was just to crisp it up nicely.
