Hi, ilovebaking, I have a recipe that is quite similar to yours but with less soya milk and more eggs. Final product tastes exactly like those tube egg tofu sold in the supermarkets.

Ingredients :
1.75 cup of plain soya milk
4 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
pinch of pepper & vesop/msg

The same method but I used a retangle container about 12cm x 16cm.
steam about 20 - 30 mins or till satay stick comes out clean will do.

Let the water boil at high heat and turn it down to medium-low after you put in the mixture to steam. The tofu will not be smooth if the steam is too strong (will have air bubble holes).

I will definitely try your recipe. I think yours is good for soup.

Hi, I want to try to make my own egg tofu at home too.

How do I line the tin with plastic wrap? Is this plastic wrap the same as clingwrap? Won't it melt?

Try using the extra strength Saran wrap --that is safe for cooking.

JC, thanks for your egg tofu recipe. I think I steamed it on too high heat which made it really holey. Plus blur me used black pepper instead of white, so can see black speckles on my tofu! Oh, thanks for the tip about using the soya bean residue too. I read it on Jo's forum. Really useful not to waste that plus it's good for you too!!!
