CHOCOLATE COOKIES
Ingredients:
100 gr. butter softened
100 gr. light brown sugar
100 gr. icing sugar
1 egg
220 gr. plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
170 gr. chopped unsweetened chocolate
1 pinch of salt

Method
Pre-heat oven to 180C.
Reduce to dust the chocolate
Beat butter and sugars using mixer until smooth.
Add egg, flour, baking powder, chocolate and salt and beat with the mixer until forming a dough. Refrigerate this dough for 15 mts.
Take rounded teaspoons of mixture and roll into balls, flatten the balls.
Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 10 mins
Cool in trays for short while and transfer to wire rack for cooling
The top is ground almond.

Sorry for my poor english. I hope somebody can understand me...My husband say this cookies are georgeus..

Elbereth, thanks so much for sharing this recipe. The cookies look delicious!

May I just double check with you... the chocolate needs to be melted... and which step in the recipe should it be added. Thanks so much.

Chewy by the butter and crispy by brown sugar...It's a wonderfull combination of two textures.
