I thought that the usual clear radish soup will taste good with some evaporated milk. And so if you like milky fish soup, you will like this radish version. Goes well with a bowl of plain rice.
Ingredients
500g Radish, cut
1 carrot, cut
Pork bones, blanched
Slice of ginger
Few scallops
Garlic
Few pieces of dried cuttlefish
Ikan bilis, fried with oil
1 litre of water
evaporated milk
salt & pepper
some soya sauce
1. Boil water in pot. Add in ginger slices, pork bones, garlic, radish, carrot, cuttlefish & scallops. Boil till radish are soft and cooked.
2. Add in fried ikan bilis and simmer for another 10 mins.
3. Add in evaporated milk. Add salt & pepper, soya sauce to season. _________________ ~Elaine |
