|I made this for Chinese New Year lunch recently and honestly, it was delicious. Do try this at home...
Oh ya by the way, I got this recipe from the Pearl Magazine Jan 2008 issue
Deep Fried Prawns with Mayonnaise in Strawberry Flavour
Prawns (medium peeled)
1/4 tsp of Salt
1/3 pcs of Egg White (I suppose there was a mistake in typing, so I used 1/3 tsp instead)
I tsp sesame seeds, toasted (I omitted this).
Flour for coating (I used Kentucky Flour).
2 tbsp Mayonnaise
1/3 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/4 tsp Lemon juice
3 no finely cut strawberries (I used green apples).
Combined the ingredients above (Strawberry Mayonaise) and refrigerate until chilled.
Method to cook the prawns.
1. Season the prawns with salt and dip them onto the egg white.
2. Dust with flour, shaking off the excess.
3. Deep fry the prawns until they turned golden brown, then drain.
4. Toss the prawns with the strawberry mayonnaise and serve immediately.
I didnt manage to take the photograph cause all were gone before I could..heheh...Will post it up the next time I make this okay...
But I assure you, this is really really good.
