Once I saw a Japanese lady frying potato wedges and later springkling the lightly with Spanish paprika and grated pecorino(not too much) cheese just to give them a cheesy taste. _________________ Ricardo

jeejee,
The one I used was what Gina posted. Laughing Cow brand.
But my son says the cheese is not strong enough. He likes lots of cheese.
I would think any brand of Cheddar Cheese would do. |

Jas...I would think it's paprika.
Just a sprinkling will do.
Or if you like, black or white pepper. _________________ I can resist everything except temptation.

sour cream is available in all the supermarkets. Its found in the cold fridge section where they put yoghurt, fresh milk.
there are a few brands. but the ones I often use is Paul's or Bulla brand.
Light sour cream means less fat, sour cream means original fat content. Taste wise, you won't be able to tell the difference.
Sour cream is use for alot of cooking or even baking. _________________ Gina

Sour cream, yoghurt, fresh milk, cheese ..all have short shelf life and has to be kept cold in the fridge or it will go bad.
salad cream and tartare sauce are made to preserve longer. so its kept on the shelves.
many people like my sister would spend hours shopping for clothes and shoes..I spent hours shopping for ingredients.. i go to supermarket or wet market, I see, I browse, I touch, and smell and tend to buy too. _________________ Gina

Does this mean use half the milk when melting the cheese and half the milk when whisking the sour cream? Thanks! |

The sour cream only need 1 teaspoon to mix/whisk. All the 50ml (minus the 1 teaspoon) to melt the cheese |
