Wow wow wow, MamaC and Oxana, both of you are so talented. My eyes GLUE at the computer screen.... and admiring your masterpiece. The flowers are so nice and the figurines are so adorable.

Waiting patiently for your post on how to make this. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, when you attach the flowers pedals, do you need to wait for each of them to dry first before assemble or complete the flowers then dry it?

Thanks so much. I would love to try this out if it's not too difficult.

Thank you all, I just got the sugar paste done and now I am ready to post the recipe with pics and directions.

I've sent Oxana another message to join... I don't see her on the member's list. Her nick keeps dissapearing

I don't eat those decorations, and many people want to keep them as suvenir. I throw them away if I have a party at home. If I keep them, then I will not do other and further more I will not practice.
The same as the piped flowers, you need to practice a lot to do a perfect rose.

It is inexpensive to make them, and I am looking for others ideas all the time.

Jo

I found on the website, there is also chocolate paste. We can have bitter sweet chocolate or milk chocolate or white chocolate paste. It seems we can use it just like the sugar paste to do all those shown by Vi.

Am I right Vi?

If so, this will be a good alternative for us low sugar tolerance people.

Jo

According to the website there are 3 kinds of chocolate paste - dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. The other ingredient is light corn syrup.

Hmm ... you don't eat chocolate too. Then ... looks like the only other piping material you can use is whipped cream. Same problem as me too. Problem is whipped cream doesn't stay hard very long.

Thank you all.

Linda, there are a lot of others materials to work work beside sugar paste.
Marzipan, chocolate, pulled sugar, rolled fondant, and there is such a paste made out of powder milk.

But I like sugar paste, because is inexpensive, you can make it at home and if you are a beginer you don't waste money.
That's way I come to love the sugar paste.

I am teaching what I know, you make the best of it.

Moifredah

BIY will be having a cake decorating class. They have not scheduled in the dates yet though, so you have to leave your name and contact no. with them and they will call you once they have confirmed the schedule.

As usual, I am "kiasu" and have already left my name and contact with them yesterday. I made a trip down to buy some stuff from there too. They do have quite a number of decorating books by Wilton that you can either buy or rent.
