Pie Shell
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons cold butter, chopped

MamaC ... have you tried this recipe? how does it taste like?

my brother had request to eat pecan pie but I'd never tried it before lol :lol: :lol:

I've tried this only once, I'm not big fan of pecan, it turned OK for my taste, everyone else said it was excelent.
I don't have a picture for it, I made it long time ago.
It is not difficult to make it.

The sugar can be reduced... the problem I have is chewing nuts. For me is like take forever to eat a slice.
I'm like a child who chews his food and refuse to swallow.

Pecan Pie

Ingredients:
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter or margarine -- melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs -- slightly beaten
1 pie shell (9 inch size)
1 cup whole pecans -- shelled

Directions:

Combine corn syrup, brown sugar, salt, butter or margarine (melted), and vanilla.
Mix well. Add slightly beaten eggs. Pour into unbaked 9-in. pie shell.
Sprinkle shelled whole pecans over all.

Bake in preheated 350F oven for approximately 45 minutes.
It it done when the toothpick comes out clean.
