Ingredient:

1 bag of Cherry Tomato/Honey Tomato
1/4 cup organic vinegar
1 cup of water
1/2 tbsp of oligo(a type of sugar), can use rock sugar
1-2 red chilli
1 tbsp black pepper ( I use black peppercorn)
2 tsp sea salt

Method

1) Wash tomato and drip dry, use a toothpick to poke holes on the tomatoes.
2) Place water, sugar, sea salt, red chilli(better to cut open), black pepper in a pot, heat up the pot of ingredient till sugar and salt dissolve, turn off fire and set aside to cool.
3) Pour the cool 2) into a glass container, add in vinegar and tomatoes, leave it in fridge for 6 hour. Can be kept in the fridge for 1 week. Can eat 6 tomatoes every day.

I eat it as a snack in between meals.

Jo,

Ya, this is the billy's famous recipe. I promise to post but always forgot to bring the recipe to office. Hubby like it very much, and he benefit from it recently as he was having minor health problem. I prefer to eat tomato cooked, taste sweeter.

He was having urine discomfort few weeks ago, urine test show that there are some kidney stones. So I make him drink lemon water, eat about 3 apples every day, and of cos prepare tomato for him.
Last week, he went to do urine test again and the result shows normal. But of cos he believe that the medicine cure his problem.

I did not use glass container afraid will break when handling, just use the 1L ice cream container.

jo,

thanks for your advise. The shelf of my fridge are not so high, only those sauce bottle size can go in, the tall jar can't go in. Usually will try to finish the tomatoes fast.

Jennifer, does this mean that the maximum is consimption is 6 per day? What happens if eat more?

I love tomatoes. Everytime I pass by the fridge I will take a handful.

Can we re-use the solution? After the 6 hours in the fridge, do we take the tomatoes out from the liquid & put them separately? Can we use normal vinegar & salt?

alannia i kpo abit hor..
oligo sugar is used cos its suposed to be one of the best sugar, in chiinese its call "gua3 tang2" its very expensive.. my dad bought 1 box at $30 and it only contain 30 packs at 6 gram each...
he said u can use other sugar.. but this oligo is good for people with diabetes.
and maximum eat only up to 10 tomato a day.. cos its very acidic.. not good for stomach.. and always eat after meals.

u do not need to seperate the tomato after 6 hours.. just let it soak there and take out the number of tomatoes u wan to eat with a clean spoon or toothpick.

the vinegar we used organic apple cider vinegar.

thanks jo.

Usually I eat more than six tomatoes, I don't think its very acidic compare to the meat and carbohydrates we are eating daily.

I don't recycle the solution after 1 week but u can use it to cook other dishes.

I can't find oligo so I use rock sugar. I use brown rice vinegar bought from organic shop.

jo, actually the first time i made this dish i use the white rice vinegar bought from supermarket cos I remember an ex-col who's vegetarian said that the rice vinegar(those in glass bottle) sold in the market can be use. I was at an organic shop the other day, so i bought 1 bot of the organic type to try.
I ever come across an organic shop in yishun selling many types of vinegar.
