The chicken is grilled using the Rosettier method in the SolarDom oven. The skin was very crispy as if it was deep fried. the meat was tender and literally break away from the bone.

Piping hot chicken, ready to eat

Ingredients
1.2 kg fresh chicken
2 tbsp Curry powder(I used Baba's brand)
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 tsp salt
2 small limes

Method
1. Mix curry powder, salt and oil together.
2. Rub all over the chicken and inside the cavity.
3. Put it in a ziplock bag and marinate for at least 4 hours.
4. Poke chicken thru spikes and place inside the oven.
5. Grilled for 20 mins or until golden brown.

6. Remove and cut into smaller pieces
7. Serve with freshly squeezed small limes juice over it.

Notes
If your oven do not have a Rosettier built-in, just rest the chicken on a wire rack and grilled at the same time. You may need to turn it over after 10 mins to ensure an even browning effect.

Hi Gina,

Need some advice.

My oven has grilled functions. However, everytime I tried to grill food, I end up having to roast eventually, after trying to grill the food at whatever stated time.

I would like to try this, but how should I go about it? I dun want to deep fry the chicken in the end.. Embarassed

TIA.

Mandyray

sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean island if you have set the oven to grill, it will grill according to the timing given. unless you are using an oven that is has combo settings.

Hi Gina,

Think I complicated the issue...

Anyway, I tried this dish over the weekend. But I used drumsticks...

My DH ate 2 big ones, asking for more.. He thought I deep fried the drumsticks..

Thanks!!
