Hi All,

My girl is getting sick of her primary school canteen food, such that she sometimes do not eat during recess. I am thinking of letting her bring a lunchbox, but have so many things to consider!

I am thinking not to let her bring food that tastes terrible when cold, the food have to be easy to prepare with the little time in the morning, coz won't want her to eat overnight food that I prepare the night before... Biscuits and cakes are options but these are pretty much food that can be found in the canteen...

Any kind suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

Hey,
I think sandwiches would be a good idea during recess time. You can fill them with maybe stuffs like cheese, tuna, scrambled eggs and ham. For a healthier option, fruits like bananas and apples would be good too. Hope that helps.

it depends on what your daughter likes to eat. For mine, she is very easy to feed. She loves Asian food like Lor Mai Kai or sometimes a simple hard boiled egg in her lunch box is good enough for her.

sometimes, I would just do a simple fried rice for her and pack it in a vaccum lunch box which can maintain the temperature. so when its recess time, its still nice and warm.

Have a look here http://wokkingmum.blogspot.com/search/label/%3A%3A%20For%20Kids%20%3A%3A for ideas but may be a bit filling. But you can cut down the portion.
