Today I made a french pear tart. It turned out pretty well and I am happy with it:





The tart's shell is made of butter, ground almonds, flour, and an egg. The filling is butter, more ground almonds, pear brandy, vanilla, corn starch and flour. I used canned pears since I couldn't find any nice fresh pairs here (it's March!)

I made it from Dorie Greenspan's book Baking from My Home to Yours

I am not sure if I am allowed to post the recipe here since it's part of the book.
