Gina,

I have made your quick and easy nian koh with my teddy bear mold.
I had used golden syrup and pandan leaves instead of sugar and rose water. . It was nice the next day.. non sticky and exactly like our traditional nian koh .. I love them loving u

Teddy Bear nian koh (I spoilt my plastic small fish while steaming, so changed to use my non-stick metal teddy bear tray)

Thanks again.

Gina, this recipe sounds interesting. Would like to try it.. Can I know whether I can use my silicon moulds? If so, do I still need to oil it?? so how?

Thanks!

For the eyes, should I place the black sesame seeds onto the mould and pour batter into it to steam together? Will the eyes float? I'm worried they won't stay in place after pouring in the batter.
