This is my home made Red Glutinous Rice Wine..going to be 2 years old in June. cheers

I had this made and kept away in the cabinet and I am just experimenting with it.

So far, only those who have been to my house for cooking classes got a whiff of it. I used it to culture my new batches of wine.

Until I get a good earthern pot from China, this stays in this bottle. I am going to make wine using an earthern pot. and will use this Vintage wine to culture and ferment the wine.

Hi Gina,

I'm new to your forum and i must say that it's really, really, REALLY fantastic....thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge so generously.

I am Foo Chow and love the Red rice wine.....i made it 2 years ago also because I couldn't find it here in Melbourne commercially and my baby was due soon. This is THE confinement food that i have no problem eating for 30 days...lol...so die, die had to make some. It turned out pretty good actually and i still have 2 bottles stored in a sterilised wine bottle....smells really good. Have been using the residue to cook chicken soup, can also stir fry with belly pork or chicken.
