My first post here Very Happy

I would like to share this dish which my mom taught me. It is a very easy and quick meal.

My hubby and kids love this dish very much. It goes very well with porridge. We like it abit more salty to go with porridge.

The ingredients are based on agaration.

1. Minced pork - seasoned with corn flour, sesame oil, pepper and soya sauce. For this dish, I usually added more soya sauce to the meat. You can substitute with other meat but I prefer pork.

2. 1 canned of pickled lettuce. Not the glass bottle kind.

3. minced garlic (about 2 teaspoon)

- Fry the garlic with oil until fragrance
- Pour in 1 can of pickled lettuce and stir.
- Add hot water (to the level you like your gravy to be)
- Add dark soya sauce
- Add the meat balls
- Let it stew for awhile
- Serve

Hello,
Thanks for sharing.

Coincidentally, my mom also like to cook this dish. She does a slight variation to your recipe. She minces some of the pickled Cai Xin and mixed it into the meat balls. I think it adds a unique flavour to the meat balls. You can give a try next time.

when i cook this dish...i'll just leave the meat minced too. too lazy to roll them into balls. and i don't even season the mince meat most of the time and only add seasoning when i'm cooking the dish
