I did this Veg two days ago, just eating it with curry fish and warm rice.. Smile

in Malay we call it Urap..

Ingredients

1/2 kg Kangkong
1/2 kilo long beans
$1.00 beans sprout
$1.00 grated coconut
6 pieces of dry red chillis*- cut and boil till soft
50g dry prawns*- soak in a water till soft and toss
15 pieces chillies bird eyes*- u can less it if you do not want it too spicey
4 garlics*
2 big onions*
1 tspn Belachan*
6 pieces cekur leaves- if you cannot find the leaves- optional
1 pieces of cekur- You can find this at malays stall selling Veg
salt and sugar

Method:-

Ingredients*Grind not so smooth and fry with out oil with grated coconut till half cook, add some salt and sugar

And then add the cekur leaves or cekur itself, stir till well corporate, and off the fire.

All veg need to half boil and toss it.
In a bowl, mix the Inggredients thats have cook and cool, with the veg and stir till all the paste are cover and taste the veg.
It should be spicey and sweet.

lazymine

you must provide recipe with photo. If you just want to share your photo, please post it at Daily Bread.

all the sections in KC must have recipe or it defeats my purpose of KC here.

Hope you understand. island

Hi Lazymine

Tks for the recipe. that's a huge portion! i'll have to cut it down to half of that Smile

how does cekur taste like & wats the difference between the leaves & the plant? just wondering if the taste would be compromised if i dont use it?

Thanks.
